Tips to Turn Google Drive into Your Own Hard Drive

RaiDrive is free software that helps you create Cloud drives right on your computer. Now, inside My Computer/This PC, additional drives will appear alongside the commonly used C, D, and E drives. If you often use Google Drive or OneDrive to store data, this is a good solution for saving space on your computer’s hard drive. Copying, moving, and downloading files from the Cloud to your computer works just like working with a folder.

You need to install additional libraries for support:

How to create a private drive on your computer with Google Drive

First, you need to have 1 Google account Gmail. Each account comes with 15Gb of storage on Google Drive. You will use that Google Drive as a private drive on your computer.

Go to RaiDrive and select the  button +Add

Next, choose the service type you want to create a drive for. I’ll use Google Drive as an example to turn it into a private drive.

• Storage section: Google
• Select Google Drive
• Drive section: X: then in My Computer/This PC, you will see an additional drive X mapped from Google Drive
• Select OK

You will be redirected to your browser to confirm permission for RaiDrive to access your Google Drive. Log in to your Google account -> Allow to grant permission

If the message “The access to Google Drive has been allowed.” appears, you have succeeded.

Now go to My Computer/This PC and you will see an additional drive X:. You can perform operations just like with a normal hard drive. You can even watch movies on your Google Drive without having to download them first.

If you have multiple Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox… accounts, mapping them as drives with RaiDrive will help you save more space on your actual hard drive. RaiDrive currently does not limit the number of mapped accounts, so you can create multiple network drives at the same time.

How to remove a Google Drive network drive with RaiDrive

If you no longer want to use that network drive and want to remove it from your computer, open RaiDrive, click the Stop button and select Delete

Or if you want to change the network drive configuration, select the gear icon button.

Note: the access speed of the Google Drive network drive depends on your home Internet speed

If you need batch Render, you can use the Tool Upload Youtube and Upload Facebook.
